Aftershave Odor on Headphones

I bought a used pair of professional headphones which work fine, but they smell like the previous owner's aftershave. I ordered new earpiece cushions but the odor remains on the plastic (vinyl?) strap that fits on top of my head. I tried cleaning with dish detergent and rubbing alcohol, no success thus far. Suggestions?

Great suggestion! Now I don't smell the aftershave anymore, even on the old earpieces that reeked of it.

Next question: how do I get rid of the Windex odor?
(LOL.)

Try an Amonia & water mix. Amonia is excellant for removing odors. Especially pet odors when your pet has an accident. Do not mix anything with the Amonia, except Water.""
