The archived recipe here sounds like a years old version of a recipe for Pistachio Cake (Maybe that's what it was called back then), and this one tells you what to do with the syrup. It's like a marble cake.
1 Pkg Yellow Cake Mix 4 eggs 1 cup orange juice 1/3 cup veg. oil 1 pkg. Instant pistachio pudding mix 1/2 cup Hershey's syrup
Blend cake mix, eggs, OJ, oil and pudding. Beat one minute on low to blend, then 3 minutes on high. Pour 2/3 of the batter into a greased and floured bundt pan. Add the chocolate syrup to the remainder of batter, blend well and gently pour on tip of the other batter; marble the mixture as for marble cake.
Bake at 350 for one hour, or until springs back when touched. Cool 10-15 minutes in pan before removing.
