Some people call this goulash, my mom called it "elbow spaghetti".
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 small yellow onion
1 lb bag of big elbow macaroni
1 large can of tomato juice
Directions
Brown beef and onion with whatever spices you enjoy (I use garlic salt and Italian herbs). Boil macaroni noodles as directed on package. Drain noodles. Mix in beef and onions. Pour in tomato juice, mix and enjoy!
Just as a side note, growing up in New Hampshire this dish is called American Chop Suey. My mother made it with canned stewed tomatoes instead of tomato juice.
