Instead of paying to get a packet of taco seasoning, make your own. It will save you at least a dollar or so over the price of name brand. Here's the recipe:
Put all ingredients in small container with lid and shake until combined. Add to 1 pound of browned ground beef. Add 3/4 cup water and bring to a simmer. Let meat cook down until juice is mostly cooked up in meat. Serve with whatever recipe taco meat is called for.
| Does anyone have a recipe for homemade dry taco seasoning that you mix with the ground meat?
Thanks!

| I don't know how much it would cost in ingredients to make your own taco seasoning. I suppose if you make tacos a lot then making yourself could be worth it; however I really like the McCormick taco seasoning packet and I can get on sale. I'd just as soon buy that then spend my time making it. I was very interested in the Taco Bell seasoning recipe tho as I love the way their taco meat tastes! |
