You might want to try Leslie Sansone's "Walk Away the Pounds" DVDs. They combine speed walking with aerobics, and using 2-lb. weights is optional. Instead of regular hand weights I use weighted balls because I don't have to grip them tightly. Before I got those I used canned foods that weighed between 1 and 2 lbs. each.

Honestly though, walking while holding weights works well too. I do like having the option of the DVD on those days I can't walk outdoors due to inclement weather.

Jump Rope. Any exercise that strengthens the low back strengthens the abs too.

Rowing, skiing, and a hand bike. Volleyball. Stacking hay (just had to get that last one in there).

Power walking while carrying 1 or 2 pound weights tones the whole body without stress.

Actually the best low impact exercise routine is swimming. It works all of the major muscle groups while giving you a good cardio workout as well as being a lot of fun.

Try Tae Bo tapes with Billy Blanks, or the latest craze is the dance exercise videos that are suppose to give you a total body work out. Try a Google search
