Banana Spice Cookies
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup mashed bananas
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- nuts and raisins (opt.)
Directions
Cream shortening, brown sugar and eggs together. Mix in bananas. In second bowl mix together flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and cloves. Add flour mixture 1/2 cup at a time, to banana mixture. Add nuts or raisins, if desired. Chill for 1 hour. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.

Thank you, Robin! I needed a recipe to use up some bananas and didn't want the same ole' banana bread!
