Meat Lasagna


Meat Mixture:

  • 1 large onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 2 lbs. hamburger
  • 1 can tomatoes (1 lb.)
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • Ad
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz.)
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsp. oregano
  • bay leaf

Cheese Mixture:

  • 2 cups Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
  • 1 1/2 cups Ricotta cheese or cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
  • lasagna noodles


Cook desired noodles as package directs. Drain and chill in cold water. Heat oil and brown hamburger. Add onion and garlic and cook until transparent. Add rest of meat mixture ingredients and simmer for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, mix cheese mixture. Arrange cooked noodles in bottom of 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover with part of meat mixture. Top with cheese mixture. Repeat layers, ending with cheese mixture. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees F. Let stand 20 minutes before cutting.
