Maple Butterscotch Brownies


  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Ad
  • 1 cup walnuts (opt.)
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
  • powdered sugar (opt.)


In a medium sized bowl, mix first 3 ingredients. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and baking powder; add to egg mixture. Stir in walnuts if desired and chips. Pour into a greased 9 inch square cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired. Delicious!
