Stop eating food made with yeast and drink a lot of water. I find that when I eat bread, crumpets etc I can go up two dress sizes in a week and it plays havoc with my clothes as well as making me really tired.

HI! Follow Weight Watchers. You can lose all the weight with no exercise, although they do recommend it.

I am not trying to be rude, mean or nosey but do you have a medical reason for not exercising? Exercising can be as simple as walking a few blocks instead of driving your car. I have Empysema and have to use oxygen to exercise on a treadmill and when you have that disease you have to stuggle to even have the energy to eat!

I had a cousin who was quadriplegic and her nurses made sure she had exercise. Okay, off my soapbox now and will suggest simply eating healthy foods like more fruits and veggies, drink your 8 of water a day, small meals every couple of hours (only the amount of food that fits in the palm of your hand) and no fast food.

I faced this problem when I was getting ready for my hip replacement and wanted to get some weight off to make the surgery and recovery easier. The bottom line is you have to take in fewer calories than you burn. And you have to be prepared to lose slowly. For me that meant counting calories carefully and writing down everything I ate, so I didn't consume more than 1,200 a day. I did lose, but it was harder than with even moderate exercise. Focus on protein, fruits and vegetables.

I use to be a personal trainer & worked at a gym. It's as simple as calories in, calories out. Having said that, there are calories & calories. 1/2 of medium sized apple, has the same calories as 1-1/4cp broccoli, & the apple would be more likely to be stored as fat, if it caused you to go over what your body would use for fuel. Apples get assimilated faster than the broccoli. Personally, I think if you left fruits for dessert & in very small amounts & stuck to meat & vegetables, with some extra fat thrown in, everyone would be better off. Put good dressings on those salads, you mayonnaise if you like it, eat whole meat, not that stuff that has reduced fat.

Have you tried the Atkins diet? There is a lot of propaganda out there about it & so much of it is bad, but any farmer can tell you how to fatten livestock. Low fat grains, marbles the meat really well. Grains & potatoes get metabolized fast, this means so much of it gets stored as fat.

Anything that moves your body, burns calories. It doesn't have to be exercise; walk, clean your house more often, garden, anything that is moving. Heck, just sitting upright takes calories, but you still have to burn more than you consume, to lose.

Now, if you have a system that is faulty in someway, then it can be even harder. The last 8 years have been bad for me. My thyroid & adrenals went to bad, so you have to find what works for you.

I lost 30 pounds in four months last year with no exercise by just cutting my portions. Tried many many crash diets over the years and with every one, I lost the weight quickly but always gained it back with usually a few more pounds just as fast as I took it off.

I have not gained the 30 pounds back and think it's because I still adhere to the smaller portions that I lost with. I have also stopped eating fast food completely. Haven't had a Whopper or Big Mac in more than a year.

Most diet plans don't actually include any exercise regimes. They work by simply reducing the number of calories you consume each day. See here for a list of the most popular diets www.womenrepublic.co.uk/.../
But adding a little exercise each day to your eating plan, will help you to lose weight faster.
