The standard size for a Yorkie is 7 pounds. That is the AKC (American Kennel Club) standard for them.I have 2 Yorkies, one is 6 years and the other is 2 years. They give unconditional love and are great dogs.
My mom had a Yorkie and a Westie...they were both about 15 inches high and weighed about 12 to 15 pounds. Bigger than my cats, but not much! Cute, loving little dogs who LOVED children and playing!
