Making New Greeting Cards Out of Old |

Making new greeting cards out of old ones.
For those who are into crafting, this can be a fun money saving thing to do to recycle those cute and pretty card fronts.
Items required:
A heat laminating machine, letter size unit. Tip: you can laminate several fronts and trim the sheet.
Not necessary, but a paper cutter is very handy for straight edges in triming cards.
An Exacto knife can be handy and metal ruler to trim close to laminate, if need be.
white glue
Use heavy card stock or buy the prefolded half-fold greeting cards. Cards & envelopes (50) are quite reasonable at Sam's Club.
Computer with a graphics program (I like Print Master)that you can print your own verse or copy wording from other cards. Print the verse on the inside of the greeting card.
On the Front of the card you can glue the laminated card front to your new card. You could print a border on the card if you like, then paste the laminated card front.
Use your imagination. It gives a semi-professional look to your card!

Keeping Old Cards
I had searched everywhere for just the right templates for a birth announcement. Finally I remembered an old "thank you" card I had kept. With a little cutting and pasting, I now have exactly what I wanted. Don't throw away those old card fronts, they may come in handy some day.
