Chocolate Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium bananas
  • 1 Duncan Hines Triple Chocolate cake mix (or a chocolate cake mix and 1 cup Mini chocolate chips)
  • 1 small box banana pudding
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3/4 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

Put bananas in mixing bowl first and mash with mixer. Dump everything else in bowl and mix well.

Fill 2 large greased bread pans (or 8 small ones for gifts).

Bake 350 degrees F for 50 minutes for large pans and 30 minutes for small pans. Done when toothpick comes out clean.

Cool and eat, or wrap in waxed paper and give away!

Recipe: Chocolate Banana Bread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup baking cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts, opt.

Directions

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, bananas, milk and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; add to the banana mixture and mix just until combined. Fold in nuts, if desired. Transfer to a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
