artichokes
fresh spinach
salt and pepper (optional)
ricotta cheese
sour cream
just a little minced garlic for taste
shredded cheese(to go on top)

I'm just trying to find a recipe that doesn't have a strong mayonnaise taste to it, because I'm not a big fan of it. Maybe I can experiment and do sour cream, alfredo sauce, and cream cheese who knows maybe one day I'll find the one.

Revised Revised Revised
As I stated earlier, I am going by memory.

2 packages thawed and drained spinach
Saute 2Tbs of flour, butter and onions
Stir in 4 oz package of cream cheese
A dash or 2 of cayenne pepper
Add 1/2 can of chicken broth, let simmer
Add spinach and 1 16oz package of shredded Parmesan cheese.
Bake for 20-30 min. Serve with nacho chips

I don't put the Artichoke in mine, but I believe you can just add it. I also add much more cheese. There is a cheese and I can't think of the name right now, but it has sun dried tomatoes in it. I believe its made by Kraft.
This is the closest I found to Applebees. ENJOY!

I had a recipes for Applebee's spinach Artichoke dip, but misplaced it. It was the closest I found to the same taste. I've misplaced the recipe, so I'm going by memory. I left off the Artichoke, but I believe you can just add that in.

2 packages of frozen spinach, drained and set aside
Saute in a pan 2tablespoons of flour, onions and butter
Stir in 1 16oz package of soften cream cheese.
Add a dash or 2 of paparika
Add 1/2 can of chicken broth, let simmer
Add spinach
Bake in the oven for 15-20 mins

I hope this is what you are looking for

Well I've tried all the recipes and they just aren't like Applebee's. Applebee's spinach dip seems to be more thin than all of these. Any other ideas?

Does anyone know if canned spinach would make a difference in the recipe?

-----> Instead of the prepared ALFREDO SAUCE:
You can substitute cream, milk or yogurt with parmesan cheese added.

I've tried the top two recipes (the ones without mayonaise and sour cream) and they taste NOTHING like the real thing. And I've experimented around with the amount of each ingredient but it still doesn't compare. I'm excited to try the third recipe and see how that goes.

Hope this is what your looking for!

Applebee's Spinach and artichoke dip

1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup sour cream
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 Tablespoons garlic
1 15 oz can artichoke (Not the marinated ones......it makes it icky)
1 box frozen spinach thawed and drained of excess water
Mozerella cheese, grated

Cut up artichokes, combine everything except the mozerella, put it all in a baking dish (I use a 8x8); sprinkle shredded mozerella on top, and bake at 350 for a 1/2 hour. Voila! You have dip.
