- 2 lbs. hamburger
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil or vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced (or to taste)
- 1 can tomato paste or sauce (your choice)
- 1 quart water
- Salt to taste
- 3 Tbsp. chili powder
- 2 tsp. ground cumin
- Beans (after soaking)
Brown the hamburger in oil. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic while browning the meat. Add the tomato paste, or sauce, water, chili powder, and cumin. Add the beans and simmer for 1 hour or until done.
