Butterscotch Crunch Squares


  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 jar butterscotch or caramel ice cream topping (12 oz.)
  • Ad
  • 1 at. chocolate ice cream


Combine flour, oats and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts. Pat mixture into 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes. Stir while warm to crumble. Cool. Spread half the crumb sin 9x9 baking pan. Drizzle half the butterscotch topping over crumbs in pan. Stir ice cream to soften; spoon carefully over topping and crumbs into pan. Drizzle with remaining topping; sprinkle with remaining crumbs. Freeze.
