You can make it yourself from the common dry cornstarch found in the baking sections: Yes you can starch clothing with regular corn starch. In a large bowl or pot, stir 1/2 cup of corn starch into 1 cup of cold water. Stir in boiling water (2 quarts for a heavy solution; 4 quarts for medium and 6 quarts for a light solution). Dip the clothing into the starch solution and let dry. To iron, sprinkle the garments lightly with warm water, roll up and place in a plastic bag until evenly moistened, then iron as usual.

RE: Where Can I Find Liquid Starch?
SMART & FINAL stores have the liquid starch you're looking for at a great price. Not Unlikely for you to find it at a typical grocery store. Worked great for my super starched Halloween costume!

RE: Where Can I Find Liquid Starch?
well, I'm here to tell you you CAN'T find it in "any grocery stores". wish that were true. ACE Hardware, Hyvee, Price Chopper, Hobby Lobby, Walmart, K-Mart...none of them even carry it.

RE: Where Can I Find Liquid Starch?
Hi, you can probably find liquid starch in many grocery stores though I haven't yet. Wal-Mart didn't have it and I have checked other places too. One of the main things to keep in mind is the prices. Try buying it at different places in bulky packages such as Sam's Club or Costco. It all depends what you need it for.
I am trying to make silly putty but I cannot find any liquid starch in my area from grocery stores and even stores like Target and what not. If you are making "Flubber" (kids love it and it is fun to play with) then get borax instead. Well, I hope this helps and I still need help finding liquid starch so any suggestions would sure help me! Thank YOU!

Liquid starch, to the best of my knowledge, is actually made from a powder. You can find it in the laundry section of any retail or grocery store that sells detergent. You can make it as thin or as thick as you like, depending on what you are trying to do with it. The name the immediately comes to mind for me is ARGO starch, which is in a red box with white lettering. Hope this helps!
