(Guest Post) (05/20/2008) Hi, you can probably find liquid starch in many grocery stores though I haven't yet. Wal-Mart didn't have it and I have checked other places too. One of the main things to keep in mind is the prices. Try buying it at different places in bulky packages such as Sam's Club or Costco. It all depends what you need it for. I am trying to make silly putty but I cannot find any liquid starch in my area from grocery stores and even stores like Target and what not. If you are making "Flubber" (kids love it and it is fun to play with) then get borax instead. You can find it in the laundry section of any retail or grocery store that sells detergent. You can make it as thin or as thick as you like, depending on what you are trying to do with it.
