Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 can refried beans (opt.)
- 8 flour tortillas (8 inch)
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 can herb tomato sauce (15 oz.)
- oregano ( to taste)
- 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
- salsa (opt.)
- sour cream (opt.)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly grease an 8x11 baking dish, or bigger. Brown the ground beef, taco seasoning, water and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the refried beans (if using the beans, you may need additional tortillas.) Spoon the mixture into the tortillas and add the mozzarella cheese. Roll up the tortillas and place, rolled side down, in the baking dish. Repeat layers. Cover with tomato sauce and lightly sprinkle with oregano. Bake for 20 minutes and top with the cheddar cheese. Bake an additional 15 minutes. This recipe can be served with salsa and sour cream. This recipe can be divided into 1/2 or 1/3.
