Use a Knife Rack |

Store your knives in a knife rack instead of a drawer to keep the edges from becoming dull.

This may be obvious, but many people just toss their knives into the dishpan, or dishwasher with the silverware for washing. Always wash your knives by themselves and dry and put away so they don't get knicked up and dull.

If you store the knives sharp side up in the knife rack, they will stay sharper longer.
