Sorry this WAS vague, I think the one my friend was looking for had a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing mix. And I am not sure if it was one that you make the night before and then cook in the morning. Yours sounds good to me! And I like the idea of potatoes and not bread! Thank you, Eileen

Your request is sort of vague, but here is one I found:
Ranch Potato, Ham and Egg Casserole

1/2 stick butter
3 cups chopped small potatoes
4 eggs, stirred well
1 1/2 cup diced ham
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped tomato
2 Tbsps chopped pepper
2 Tbsps minced onion
3 Tbsps Ranch dressing
3/4 cup milk
1 cup grated cheese

Preheat oven to 350°F. Saute potatoes and ham in butter over medium heat until potatoes are just cooked. Drain well. Place in casserole dish. Top with remaining ingredients and bake in oven until eggs are cooked. Stir occasionally. Serves 6-8
