I am a teacher and High School club sponsor. We did a senior citizen dance last year. We called it
"Moonlight Serenade"
Thanx, those all really helped. the crew really liked The memory lane idea. and we have the school band playing in it but the 50's music was a good idea
how about the following:
I HOPE YOU DANCE (SONG TITLE)
ITS NEVER TOO LATE TO DANCE
DANCE TILL YOU DROP
COME DANCE WITH ME
CAN I HAVE THIS DANCE (SONG TITLE)
BIG BAND BOP
SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER
I would choose the music and build a theme around that. If you go back to when most of them were 17 or 18, you can figure out what kind of music they were listening to then. People usually grow up listening to their parents' music, so you could have a range of music. I'd enjoy a 50's sock hop theme. I'm 53 and my mother is in her 70's and we both like music from that era. Good luck.
How about "Memory Lane".
I don't know what the age range is but that doesn't strictly limit you either.
