I'm Scarlet and I'm celebrating my 11th birthday. I need some ideas for it for decorations that are simple and made with stuff laying around the house because we don't have much money. This birthday is special. This is the first birthday I've got to have friends over, and the birthday before I go to 6th grade, I just finished 5th.

to Sara: Sure, why not?! You really should be thankful for grandparents who want to do something special for you. Appreciate them while you have them. I was my grandaddy's favorite and although he's been gone for almost 30 years I miss him every single day. Go and have fun!

My daughter had her 10th party at a bowling alley. Unbelievably, it was fantastic. It was inexpensive, they provided all of the decorations if needed. ( we chose to bring our own rock-n roll themed decorations though.) SHe has boy and girl friends so it made it a great party!
Good luck...

I rekon u guys shoud try hiring a community center room and decorate it with cardboard stars then have a table with a fake microphone and have different people going up saying the names of the awards e.g first person to get here and most longest person you've known and then give them like a small fake award or lollies. BUT MAKE SURE EVERY1 GETS AN AWARD when there leaving remember to get someone to open the door for them so they feel like stars and in the party bags you shoud put some little glitter stars in and mini pics of stars and stuff like that so I hope this helps bi xox

What I did was a spa party my mom and her friend gave me and my friends, manny, and peddys, and then a facials then we watched movies like sleepover which is fun! Now I am 12 and I am having a masquerade party everyone will wear masks and dress up!

Posted on 12/25/2007 | Report Spam or Abuse

By (Guest Post)
um you could have a Hollywood dress up partay and get every one to dress up as a star like paris hilton or hillary duff, they don't have to like but even if they hate who they dress up as it will be fun and a time to remember and you could hire a red carpet from your front door to the lounge or the main place of the party. hope i helped sariah

Hi my birthday is tomorrow and I'm turning 11. I had a great idea that me and my fiends would go swimming, fishing and camping, but I didn't ask my mom first. She said no, instead she said she would take me and my friends to the water park. So when you have plans for your party, make sure it's OK with your mom first.

Think small decorations. Balloons do not cost a lot of money and they make great decorations by themselves. You can also have fun games with them. Blow the balloons up ahead of your friends arrival. Divide the balloons in two separate trash bags. Divide your friends into two teams and line up beside each other. Mark a place to stop at several yards in front of you. The first person in line on each team places a balloon in between their knees. They have to hold it between their knees and walk to the stopping point. Then they must turn around and walk back. This is done until one team pops all of their balloons. The one with the remaining balloons is the winner! Serving koolaid in clear plastic or glass cups is a great way to add color to your party. Serve ice cream or freezer pops, make sandwiches and cut them into triangles. The important thing is to have fun with your friends. Watch a movie together.

Life! you have probably played the board game but try it in real life! Have each room in the house be a different thing. dont spin though cuz not as many rooms in yer house than on a board! just visit each room. like first you draw out of the pile the color of car you have. then what collage you go to , ect. Or you could even do real stuff like if you have a baby do baby dolls. pick a room in the house and its your house what ever! i just thought of the second thing!

My friend bought award night invitations, plates, and decorations. Everything award night! But she had nothing planned to do with the stuff she bought. So i came up with something. We could make an award thing up. We could make up categories and stuff. So i was the only one who could look at it. We had nominees and winners. We had done a pinata earlier so the candy was the prize. We called the award a CP my friends name is Courtney (C) and Party (P) It was soo much fun!

I remember when I was turning 11...I thought I needed a big party, too. Then we listened to the Beatles, the Monkeys and Benny. It was a blast! That's most likely not all you girls' (and boys too, I guess) fashion, but I've got a really good idea. This was my daughter's idea, thouch, maybe it will help.

SURVIVOR PARTY - 11 YEAR OLDS Simply called with invitations (nothing fancy) - Party was on a Friday from 6 - 9 pm. Sign on door said SURVIVOR - OUTWIT, OUTLAST, OUTPLAY. We had TIKI torches and Hawaiian type plates, etc. TIKI pinata was the centerpiece on the table. 1. Invited 14 kids - divided into 2 teams (red and blue) before they arrived. We had coloured pinneys for the kids to wear. 2. Teams first had to decide on a team name knowing (but not why) that the longer the name, the better, but it had to make sense and not be supercalifragilusexpealadotious! Red team chose AMPHIBIANS and the Blue team chose ZANSOBAR. 3. First event was the OBSTACLE COURSE - Ours was to walk on stilts (5 steps), hulahoop (10 circles), walk on bench (balance beam), pogo stick (5 jumps), skipping rope (5 skips), soccer dribbling around markers, score a goal, return ball. First team back got a point. 4. Next was the PUZZLE - Took 2 old puzzles turned them outside down and wrote SURVIVOR - OUTPLAY on one and SURVIVOR - OUTWIT on the other. First team to complete puzzle got a point. 5. SCAVENGER HUNT was next - Hid toy bugs, spiders, snakes, frogs and lizards in front yard - groups had to find 2 of each (but not more - or they lost point) and when they had found all, each member of their team had to score a basket. 6. GROSS FOOD - 2 Candy worms under chocolate pudding and oreo crumbs in bowls and then on paper plates- kids had to retrieve worms without using cutlery or hands (they were behind back), using only their mouths. They could not eat them until all were counted. First team with all worms out received a point. 7. STUMP STAND - Kids had to balance on bricks on one foot - Actually started raining hard at this point which added to the drama. We had chocolates ready for anyone who put a foot down (BRIBERY) - Some kids had incredible balance so we had to get creative and make them do tasks like go up and down or close their eyes otherwise this could have gone on a long time! 8. BRAIN BENDER - Teams had to write down as many small words as they could find in their team name in 5 minutes. Team with the most words got a point. (Hence, why it was advantageous to have a longer name) 9. DISGUSTING FOOD CHALLENGE - Mixed oatmeal with salsa, raisins and barbq peanuts (no allergies) and put a heaping tablespoon on each plate. Teams got a point for each team member that completely finished their plate. 10. BALLOON TOSS - Filled up enough water balloons so each team member had 2. Lined up behind a pinecomb marker and had to toss into a hoop a fair distance away. Points were awarded for each balloon that landed in the hoop that stayed (popped or not). If the balloon missed the hoop but did not pop, the thrower got another chance. 11. PINATA - Found a TIKI pinata, filled it with candy and the bugs etc. from the scavenger hunt and kids lined up to hit it with a broom - team member that actually broke the pinata (sent the candies flying) got a point for their team. We put all the candy together and distributed it fairly. (Kids idea, not mine!) 12. TRIBAL COUNCIL - Birthday cake (with SURVIVOR LOGO) and prizes awarded to team members - we had 2 different prizes - 1 for the winning team team members and 1 for the other; however, both prizes were good and lots of the kids exchanged with other team members! 13. BIRTHDAY GIFT OPENING - Did it alphabetically, so there's no argument! Activities were fairly simple to prepare. The kids had a blast and were fabulous sports - We had a lot of fun! Timing worked really well - the last gift was opened as the first parent arrived.

you could rent out a skating rink for just you and your friends. and do like a winter theme with winter decorations..make snow out of paper, ice cycles..have the girls wear really glossy lip gloss and white or blue eye shadow...maybe even bathing suits with skirts to make it look like skating costumes. have your hair up in a cute pony tail and have spray glitter for hair and body and also cute temporary tattoos. you could also have fun dancing or christmas music.

I am having my 11th Birthday party too, in about 4 days. I need some more ideas- but if your Birthday is in the Winter monthes- or should i just say ANY month- here are some Ideas that I have for my birthday. Well for the decorations go to the dollar store and just buy some streamers and happy birthday signs and so on.. You can decorate your "main" party room really gorgeous but not TOO glittery and stuffed/crowded.
For your games do something simple that you don't have to buy a whole bunch of things that will make your parents go broke.
Have your c.d player/radio and turn it up to a music channel you and your friends are sure to like- have 95.5 and music channels that make you wanna DANCE! Have the music throughout the whole party until you get annoyed of it. If you want one game that makes you laugh- Twister would be hot! Also- have American/Canadian Serbien/Croation Idol- basically whatever language you are. Pick three people to be judges- but make sure somehow everyone gets a turn singing if they want too. You can have dance competions where you have 2 different groups and three judges, you give the groups 10 mins to make up a dance to a song you all know- then have the two teams perform in front of the judges and the other team, when the judges have seen each team they should pick a winning team.
Some other games would be...
Pin the tail on the donkey- I'm 11 and I must admit this game is FUN no matter what age you are- unless your some 16 year old who is "too cool" for it,
have a pinyata (sorry for incorecct spelling) And fill it with candy you ALL love- maybe have the birthday girl have a hula skirt and those plastic things you can put around your neck- you can get them at the Dollar store.
2more ideas people... heres one I would love Spin The bottle twisted.
Have someone spin the bottle, when it lands on someone- the person who spun the bottle has to ask a very juicy or secret/confessional question. The person who the bottle landed on has to tell the truth and nothing but the truth!!

Idea 2:
Whats that song?
Have someone hmm to a song- or sing a line of a song- the rest of the people guess what it is- whoever gets it correct or the song name closest to the answer goes next! -Maybe you could give the person who got the most right a little prize they could be called the EXTREME winner!!

My room isnt that big and my mum will get angry if we make alot of noise if I have a birthday sleepover. My Dad sent £50 for my b-day present so I was thinking around 2 or 3 freinds over and maybe renting some movies and ordering pizza. I like face masks and stuff so I sopouse I could have a pamper slumber party?

My idea for your 11th birthday party is to have a group scavenger hunt, make 2 teams and give each team $10.00! take them to the mall and give them a list of things to buy with that amount of money! Once you get one item you have to return to a certain spot where the parent is and you have to give them your stuff, whichever team comes first get's a prize. Give them bandana's, hat's, shirts.......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I used to have a academy awards party, we cut up card board and used them as painted stars and everyone got something like, a hat or gloves or beads, in the driveway we wrote everyone coming names in sidewalk chalk, no cars allowed on the driveway though, have it blocked out with ribbon or something sparkly and write, limbos only. we had a little red carpet when you enter and someone was asking for your autographs like a family member, and checking you in. then my mom made a cake that looked like a present with ribbons on it. we ordered pizza for dinner. on the lights hanging, and you know those things that are like plastic or something that hang from your doors? well we tangled thos on the lights. and you should put a stand in the middle of where ever your having the party and have the bday girl speak.. and other people who want to wish them a happy birthday.have atv on too, and have a camera or videocamera handy.
Some of these things were around the house and the cake was homemade, so the whole thing costed around 100$. or less, and one more thing. on the garage door we printed on computer paper "Lily's 11th annual awards. on each paper 1 word. in purple. just make sure they are on with tape! GOOD LUCK

Hi im Jessica and for my 11th birthday party i had boys and girls there and i was thinking weeks before it what should i do, where should the party be and i was thinking if u think to much about the party then ur going to start to worry! here are some ideas:

have everyone get in a round shape and then get a piece of string and have everyone stand inside of the round piece of string have them hold it behind their back. when u r making the string slip a cheap ring on the sting. ok now that eveyone has the string behind their back, have one person in the middle. now the person in the middle has to try to guess who has the ring and they have to keep passing it and if the person in the middle sees someone passing it then that person has to be in the middle!

I loved this game and so did my friends. i hope it works out 4 u if it does then u had a magical birthday like me and i really hope that this game will help a lot more people!!

Hi! If you live in the United Sates you could go to the Dollar Store and get the hulla-hups or little key chains for the gift bags there for only $1. Good Luck and Happy Birthday! :)

Happy birthday! What kinds of things are you interested in? If you like horses, you can use that as your theme. If you collect a certain kind of object (like dolls), that would make a good theme, too. And you can use your collection as decorations!

Have a "Christmas in July" party and use your Christmas decorations. OR do a "Calendar Confusion" party and use decorations from all of the holidays that you have decorations for and then take an old calendar (or now a lot of calendars are going on sale because the year is almost up or someone you know may have extras they do not use or need or some businesses hand them out throughout the year and may be willing to donate a few to you) and tear each month off and tape them around the edge of your table or around the room. You could also tape one to each chair and make your friends draw "names" and make that their name for the day (January, February, etc.) and whoever forgets and calls that person by their real name has to mark a day off their calendar. The one with the most days left wins a prize. (The prize being a 2005 calendar)

Your cake could be made at home and you could buy a tube of icing gel or spray icing and draw the calendar of your birthday month on there and on the date of your birthday put a decoration, all the candles, or write your name.

Invitations could be made by either printing a calendar page of your birthday month or xeroxing one with your party date circled and the information written in red. Hand those out or mail them.

Maybe you could write on there for them to bring a calendar with them (without telling them why) and make up a game of who can find which holiday the fastest and keep score of who gets the most right. You may want to have one or two extra calendars on hand for them to borrow in case someone forgets. Or you could pair them up to avoid embarrassment and have them share a treat as the prize like a bag of microwave popcorn, etc.

Wow! Happy 11th Birthday. I have boys but have a few ideas for decorations. You can always string up your christmas lights in the room you will be having the actual party. If you do a water fun theme, you can blow up beach balls, stack up towels, put beach toys on the table, etc. It is fun, summery and is stuff you probably already have laying around. You could also have a pampering party, paint each others nails, give facials, etc. Then you could decorate with mirrors, nail polish, girlie stuff that you probably have in your room. I hope these have helped or at least got you thinking. Have fun!
