Hawaiian Wedding Cake I

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 TBS baking soda
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • pecans (optional)
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
Icing:
  • 1- 8 ounce box cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • pecans (optional)

Directions

Mix cake ingredients together. Do not drain pineapple! Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes.

For Icing: Soften cream cheese and butter at room temp to make mixing easier. Mix both these ingredients together first. Then add vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy

The first recipe is NOT correct! You should use only one teaspoon of baking soda, not one tablespoon!

Thank you so much for posting this recipe. When I was a teenager, my best friend's mom used to make this cake all the time and I absolutely LOVED it! I'm anxious to make it for my family. Bright Blessings, Sonja
