Hawaiian Wedding Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 can crushed pineapple and juice (20oz.)
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
Topping:
  • 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Directions

Stir together flour, sugar and soda; add remaining ingredients. Blend well but do not beat. Turn into a greased and floured 9x13 pan; bake at 350 for 35-40 minutes. (Make topping while cake bakes, and frost while cake is warm.)

For Topping: Blend cheese, margarine, vanilla and sugar thoroughly.

Recipe: Hawaiian Wedding Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1 large pkg. vanilla instant
  • pudding
  • 1 large Cool Whip
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • coconut

Directions

Bake cake mix as package instructs in a large sheet pan, 15x19 inches. Mix pudding with milk and cream cheese and spread on top of cooled cake. Strain pineapple and spread over pudding. Spread Cool Whip on top of the pineapple and cover with coconut. Cool 4 hours in refrigerator.

  • pecans (optional)
  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
Icing:
  • 1- 8 oz. box cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • pecans (optional)

Directions

Mix cake ingredients together. Do not drain pineapple! Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes.

For Icing: Soften cream cheese and butter at room temp to make mixing easier. Mix both these ingredients together first. Then add vanilla and powdered sugar. Mix until creamy
