Keep Spare Clean Ketchup Lid

I keep a spare ketchup lid in my kitchen drawer. When it gets sloppy, I just swap lids and put the dirty one in the dishwasher. I do the same for the ranch dressing. It's so easy, my kids will even swap it out. If you don't have a dishwasher you could drop it in a dirty glass with some water, and wash it up when you do the dishes.

Terrific idea -- and not hard to do!! That's the kind of tip I appreciate!

I do the same, but if not running dishwasher for a few days, will put top in small glass and add a denture tablet, let it sit overnight and rinse in the morning!

I do the same thing with my coffeemate lids. When it starts looking sticky, I take the lid off, put it in soapy water to soak and immediately put on a spare lid that I have saved. Sure saves a lot of time when I'm in a hurry.

Great idea, I'll have to try that.
