Love me some cabbage! I have yet to find a way I don't like it fixed!
- 1 head red cabbage, shredded (about 3 lbs.)
- 3 tart red cooking apples, cored, thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Combine all ingredients in large skillet; mix well. Cook, covered, over medium heat for 20-25 minutes or until cabbage is tender-crisp, stirring occasionally. 6-8 servings.
