Also use on grill, headlights, side mirrors and any other surfaces. This is especially great for those in the south during the love bug seasons. Wet the spot, take a new dryer sheet and rub it on the spot. Came right off!!! Won't damage the paint and took little to no effort to get it off. Also works on those nasty old bug guts on the front grill! Report Spam or Abuse Stealth Smoking Post By Tim (Guest Post) (11/13/2007) A great use for dryer sheets is to take a carboard tube, like from a roll of paper towels or toilet paper, and stuff the end of it with dryer sheets. Then take another sheet and wrap it around that same end, and fasten it with a rubber band. Whenever you take a puff of smoke, you just blow the smoke through the tube. The smoke is still visible, but it doesn't stink up the place. Instead it smells really good. Also tape a fresh one to the inside top of your mailbox, it gives a fresh scent each time opened, and leaves your mail smelling fresh and will deter insects from trying to build nest in and around your mailbox. When you are having an outside picnic or family reunion outside place one near the trash can, it will keep away the bees & flies. Put one inside you picnic basket or on your picnic table where you will be eating it keeps the flies at bay. I crumple up a used dryer sheet and pump abouy 5 spays of repellant into it. The dryer sheet holds a good amount of liquid and its very easy to apply the repellant. I save the lint and used dryer sheets this way: Take a handful of lint. Flatten it out and use the dryer sheet to roll it up. Dryer lint is a great fire starter and the sheets quickly ignite. You can also put them into a toilet paper roll and use them the same way. I also use dryer sheets to dust my car dash.
