Avoiding Splash Ups |

When using the toilet, put a small amount of toilet paper in the bowl beforehand to avoid splash-ups.

I like to close the toilet before flushing....that way nothing can go up and into the air and land on things nearby....especially a good idea if your toothbrush is stored nearby.

This will probably sound odd to some, but dh was taught to use the facilities sitting down. We've raised 2 girls and 3 boys that way and us girls LOVE never having the middle-of-the-night-splashdown shocker or wet seats or having to put the seat down all the time. The guys have never had to listen to any nagging about it either. There is nothing sacred about the procedure; it's just our cultural practice here.
