*You could add sauteed onion/green peppers, but my husband is allergic to them!
Brown ground beef, garlic, salt and pepper. Drain grease and add meat to the slow cooker. Brown sausage, drain and add to slow cooker. Using the same pan, saute the onion and green pepper (add butter if needed, my sausage didn't really leave any grease) for 3-5 minutes (still crunchy) and then add to the crockpot. Add rest of ingredients.
Cooking Time: Low 7-8 hours or High 3 hours
Stir occasionally. It filled up my large crockpot. Could, I'm sure, be made in large stew pot on the stove, too!
