First let me thank all of my frugal family. I have had many tips that worked out quite nicely. This next one will call on your frugality: How about car wax? I have never heard of a substitute for it and would like a tip.

Thanks everyone!

Nowadays Dollar Tree carries a whole line of Turtle Wax products. I just got a car wash container that is filled with soap/wax combo that attaches to a hose for $1. It contains enough for eight washes.

I use a couple table spoons of karosene in about 1/2 gal water takes off road tar and leaves a good wax shine and doesn't harm car finish or paint.
