Ingredients
- 1 loaf white bread, cubed
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1 garlic clove, pressed
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. rubbed sage
- salt, to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place bread cubes in large bowl; set aside. In medium skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Add mushrooms, onion, celery, parsley and garlic; cook and stir 2 minutes. Stir in broth, pepper, sage and salt. Pour mixture over bread; toss lightly to mix. Spoon into greased 1 1/2 qt. baking dish. Bake 35-40 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned.
