Liz's Baked Beans

Easy and so tasty with BBQ or as a side dish with hot dogs/hamburgers


  • 1/2 lb. bacon, browned ( save drippings to cook onion in )
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
  • Ad
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 1 small onion, sauteed in small amount of the bacon grease.
  • 1 - 1 lb. can Pork and Beans


Mix and put onions, sugar, mustard, catsup and beans in baking dish. Place bacon strips and a few uncooked onion rings on top.

Bake for 30 minutes in a 350 degrees F oven.

I tripled this recipe for Easter. It was nearly all gone. Just enough left over for a snack. GG Vi

Great Recipe Liz. Pretty much the same as we've

been using for as long as I can remember. There

is just nothing like good bacon to season the most

delicious Old-Fashioned Baked Beans. We also use

just the plain old ballpark yellow mustard along

with brown sugar. I do add a couple of TBS of

Grandma's Yellow Label molasses if I'm making a

lot...just to keep them from drying out.
