Layered Strawberry Salad
- 2 pkg. strawberry gelatin (3oz. size)
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 pkg. frozen strawberries (10oz. size)
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add strawberries, stirring until thawed. Fold in pineapple. Pour 1/2 gelatin mixture in an 8x8 inch pan. Chill until firm. Combine sour cream and nuts. Spread evenly over firm gelatin. Very gently pour remaining gelatin over top.
Chill until firm. Serve on crisp lettuce leaf or a bed of shredded lettuce.
