Gardening: Red Poppies

Red Poppies

Red Poppies

These poppies are the biggest I have ever seen. The blossoms are 6 inches across. I don't know why they are so big this year. They have always been a normal size. The weather has been colder than usual, so maybe it has something to do with that.

That is outstanding! I have always wanted to gtrow oriental poppies, but I guess it's too hot in South Georgia. You have a lot to be proud of! Thanks for sharing this beauty with us and God bless you.

They are beautiful we have quite a few in the garden, different colours, unfortunately they don't last long, but the bees like them.

One of my favorite garden photos from last season. These are the reddest poppies I have ever seen.

These are my favorite Poppy color. I have bought several and can't seem to get them to grow. I have salmon, and orange. I also can't seem to get the white ones to grow either. My neighbor as them all. Yours are beautiful. Thanks for sharing. (03/07/2009)

These are not poppies. They are tulips in one of my flower beds, good luck. (03/16/2009)
