Also make sure you have something for kids to play with, as well as their blankie or lovey. It will help them cope a little better with the change.

Put those essentials in the car, before the moving van arrives, you can mark something "DO NOT MOVE" but they'll load it anyway, even a pail of dirty diapers. (Ugh!)
