Helping Out: Set up a Coupon File |
|
|
If you have the extra time, and want to do something for your community, set up a coupon file for a local laundromat (with the owner's approval) or retirement home.
My mother used to live in a retirement apartment building and they had a table in the community area for small items that nobody wanted and was giving away. They could set them there for whoever wanted to take them. She started a coupon file and once a month she would go through and take out the expired coupons.
Sometimes others may not think to do something like this, but once it is there they can take it upon themselves to maintain it once the system is set up for them. Or you can count that as your community service to do it for them on a monthly basis.

What would be the best way in which to organize such a file for a seniors' complex gathering-room?
