Zesty Party Meatballs

Meatballs Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup cornflake crumbs
  • 1/3 cup minced fresh parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. dried onion flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1 can jellied cranberry sauce
  • 1 bottle chili sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. For meatballs, combine all ingredients in large bowl, shape into 1 inch balls. Place in single layer in two 9x13 inch baking dishes. For sauce, combine all ingredients in medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth and well blended; pour evenly over meatballs. Bake 30 minutes or until heated through. Transfer to chafing dish, if desired. Serve hot.

I bought the ground chuck. Guess what we are having for supper tonight! Don't have all the ingredients for the sauce, why didn't I write them down?

This looks like a recipe I once had and LOVED---and lost! Much tastier than the version using grape jelly in our opinion. Thanks for sharing!
