My Dalmatian-German Short Hair Pointer mix dog tries to dig into blankets and carpets with bones and chews we give him. We think this is what he is doing. Is it and what do we do about it?

My Daschund does this all the time and when I think he's out of his chews he will come up with one he's found in the sofa cushions. It's almost like it's a game of sorts. Or he's hiding them so no one can get them.
Give this nice boy his bones outside in the backyard. Hhe will bury them in the garden/lawn. Their instinct tells them to bury and eat later. Good luck.
Don't worry about it, he's just doing what comes naturally. Let him have his fun. It's so cute!
