Does anyone know how to remove nail polish from bedding?

my daughter has a comforter with goose down in it -not a cheap item- an she got a good amount of nail polish on it and there is no way to get it out once it has set!!! sorry it's just something you are going to have to live with... i have washed it a number of times , the nail polish will soften and not be so stiff but the color just will not come out!!
