How and when did you get your pet?
It was in 2001 and I wanted a dog. I was in the area off of Bitters and stopped at the PetSmart there because I heard they had a pet day. When I went in I found out that the company, Chihuahua Rescue, was there. I decided to look at the dogs that were there and I saw Ash. I really was looking at another dog, but I couldn't resist his sad eyes. He was about 6-8 months old and weighed 3 pounds. He was so skinny when I got him I couldn't believe someone would do that to a dog! I was allowed to take him out of the cage and he jumped out at me and just held on to me for dear life. I guess he knew I wasn't going to hurt him. I held him for a little bit then went to put him back in the cage and he wouldn't let go of me. At that time I knew he was mine. I told the people that worked there I wanted him. It took at least a week or two for me to get him because of paperwork, but I was happy when he finally came home to me.
What does your pet like to do for fun?
Ash loves to go for walks and roll around in yellow flowers anytime he can find them. They are little weeds, but he has fun, sometimes he even has them stuck to his back when he gets up.
Do you have anything else to share about your pet?
Ash is so loving and sweet. Sometimes he watches TV with me no matter the show, but his favorite is Guys Grocery Games. He starts barking when they start running around the store it is so funny!

I just read your story about Ash, he caught my attention because my Cubbie looks just like him except Cubbies ears arent pricked up. Cubbie loves to sniff & roll around on the little yellow flowers that are in patches low to the ground, I think they grow wild around my area. Anyway, hes so cute & glad you found him. I went to my sisters house to get my hair done (shes a beautician) & she had a small adorable chi at her house that she was taking care of for someone who couldnt keep him, anyway he wouldnt leave me alone, he kept so close to me & kept wanting me to pick him up.
