I am redecorating a spare bedroom which already has gold curtains, mahogany wardrobes, and a dark-wood floor. Wat color do you suggest for the walls? The bedding has gold, pale green, and dark and light pink.

That is the same color scheme as one of our guest rooms. I would paint it the pale green shade.
I would go with either pale gold or pale green.
