Berries and Nuts Oatmeal

Any time that you can sweeten your food naturally with fruits, it's just that much healthier! I enjoy recipes that take otherwise boring meals and liven them up. This oatmeal is anything but boring. It is chock full of healthy berries and nuts and will keep you going strong all morning long. Enjoy!

Yield: 3 modest servings

Steps:

  1. Grate your apple.
  2. Bring your water to a boil in a small pot and add oats, blueberries, apple, currants and flax seeds. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in pecans and walnuts. Remove from heat, spoon into bowls and serve with butter. No sugar needed. :)
  4. Enjoy!
