Bland Food Recipes for Stomach Issues?

I've been having massive stomach issues, I have severe bleeding ulcers. I'm looking for non irritating recipes for bland foods I can eat. I've been living on plain chicken for months and I can't take it anymore.

You could use the broth from very lean meat , to make soups with leafy veggies like Kale and Spinach. It is also advised to puree as much as possible when having fruits and veggies , It's like going out and buying those upscale smoothies. Here is a link to a few recipes , and also keep in mind your Doctors orders when trying these recipes - iliveok.com/.../diet-stomach-ulcers_111798i15882... - and - www.medigoo.com/.../ - Also reach to Facebook followers there so many with the same issue, and could forward there recipes.

Have you tried vegetable or chicken broth with rice or noodles? Maybe steamed white fish or shrimp if you like seafood, or canned pears and peaches?

Good luck - and I hope you're on the mend soon.

Have your doctor prescribe a visit with a dietician! He/she can take all of your health situations into consideration. There are many things that need to be taken into consideration. Do you also need low salt, or would too much potassium cause issues? What meds are you on? I would hesitate to take any guidance from people who don't know your entire medical history or you could end up causing other issues. Prayers for healing!

There are some foods that would be good for you to eat. Low-fat or fat-free milk, yogurt, and mildly flavored cheeses, such as cottage cheese, are all good options. You just need to be careful if you are Lactose intolerant.

For vegetables, there are quite a few that would be good for you. Try a few of these to make some soups with them - beets, carrots, green beans, peas, white or sweet potatoes, spinach, and pumpkin.

You can also try some low fiber fruits, processed grains, poultry, fish, and eggs.

I would also ask your doctor if he can set you up with a dietician to help you out.

You are dealing with a very dangerous condition and this means 'Follow doctors orders' and when in doubt; contact our doctor.
I assume you are under a doctor's care so it is puzzling as to why you were not provided with information on what to eat and what not to eat. Everyone knows you need a bland diet but there are quite a few foods that you can safely eat.

We can recommend foods/recipes but everything should go through your doctor.
I have some sites about this condition but they are just for information only.
Please ask your doctor to recommend a recipe book so you'll have access to a bigger range of foods.

This comment is from a well known university team:
"However, an antibiotic is the only way to eliminate the ulcer-causing bacteria.
Stomach ulcers can be life threatening if left untreated. Seek medical attention immediately if you believe you are suffering from a stomach ulcer."

tdog,
Your doctor or a dietitian should be your first place to go for answers to this serious medical issue, NOT here. Most doctors will recommend the "BRATTY" diet.....

bananas, rice, tea, toast, yogurt. That will get old just like plain chicken did. That's why a dietitian would be helpful. They can give you a meal plan that will be specific for your problem and needs. Good luck and fast healing.
