Breeding Zebra Finches?

I have 2 males and 1 female zebra finches. She's laid 3 eggs so far. How do I find out for certain who the dad is as to not separate the wrong male?

In your case, I don't think this one would really be necessary. If you really want to breed your birds it is best to leave them alone now that the females have started to lay eggs. A lot of time both males will help by sitting on the eggs. Nature has a funny way of handling things and it always seems to work out for the best.

If you start to see some fighting in the cage with the males it might be necessary to separate them later on. For now, leave them be as they are and just watch them. If you try to move one too fast this could stop the female from laying any more eggs or even sitting on them.
