Where can I buy coal to burn in my wood stove in Colorado Springs, Colorado?
Ace Hardware sells it. Is there one near you?
Some farm and feed stores carry it. It does burn differently and can leave a black residue
I don't know where you can buy coal. I do know this. Unless there has been a change over the years, you should not burn coal in a wood stove. The grate in a wood stove is not made to withstand the higher temperatures caused by the burning of coal. In times past, more than a few grates in wood stoves were melted by people making this mistake.
