Candy Basket

This is a cute candy basket - perfect as a Valentine's Day gift, or little decoration piece for your office desk.

I made this candy basket with items I already had at home and paired them with holiday clearance candy I bought. This was very inexpensive to make.

Total Time: 30 minutes

Yield: 1 basket

  1. Using a circular empty tape roll, I secured a piece of ribbon with hot glue to the inside.
  2. Wrap the ribbon tightly all around the roll, overlapping slightly and secure the other end with hot glue.
  3. Trace a circle, using the inside of the cardboard roll, onto any thin piece of cardboard paper and cut out.

  5. Glue the cardboard circle underneath the paper doily (this will support the candy).
  6. Turn the paper doily right side up; hot glue the ribbon wrapped tape roll in the center of the doily.
  7. Dab some hot glue dots around the roll to create a flower shape.
  8. (Optional) Cut a strip of cardboard and hot glue across the roll to create the basket handle.
