I am looking for a recipe for Champagne Cake. I remember getting it at a bakery in Bakersfield, CA many years ago. We would get it for special celebrations.

Hi Vickie: I'm from Fresno, CA, and we always had a Champagne cake for special occasions! Now that I'm in the midwest, though, I haven't been able to find in any any bakery around, nor do they know what I'm talking about! I visited Fresno in 2009 and my friend ordered the cake for my birthday - what an incredible treat!
