How do I clean the feathers on my angel dolls? The feathers are falling out.
Also, any ideas on the maintenance and storage of them after they are cleaned up?
Put the doll in a plastic bag. Pour salt in the bag. Close the bag and shake it. The salt will clean the feathers. Take the doll out of the bag and shake it gently.
You do not say what type of doll/angels or size but I assume they are not very large?
Salt will clean feathers but if you put the doll into a bag with salt and shake be sure it will not do more harm to your angels such as making more feathers fall out.

I use this tip found on ehow; I used to simply swish the feathers through cornstarch but that never seemed to get the feathers really clean.
Warning-the ehow tip is fiddly, lol! But it also works very well! I got a nicotine stained pair of feathered angel wings looking like new with this tip:
I have an angel doll. We had a wood burning store and the doll and wings got really dirty from the stove. The wings can be removed the wings; they have a ribbon around it to tie on the doll. If you can give any pointers on how to clean the dress and doll I would appreciate it greatly. I want to get it clean again, but have no idea how to get it back like it was. Thank you.
