Creating an Abstract Acrylic Painting

Total Time: Couple of minutes + drying time

Supplies:

• acrylic paint
• 5" x 8" Index cards
• Optional wooden dowel or chopstick
• scissors
• cardboard

Steps:

1. Select your choice of acrylic colors (I used 3) and make assorted drops on your paper. The paper I used was an index card measuring 5" x 8", but you could use any paper.

 

 

 
2. Cut a piece of cardboard (any size will do), but one that is easy to grip. I cut out a square.

 
3. Now smear the paint while using your cardboard. If you don't want your hands dirty you can use a dowel or a chopstick to hold the edges. Add more drops if you would like/need to achieve your masterpiece.
