I want to cover my verticals with drapes/curtains for the holidays. The valance comes out 7 inches, any suggestions on what I can use? I'm getting desperate the holidays coming quickly. Thank you.

You can put the curtains or drapes that you end up using on a tension rod, and mount the tension rod in the window frame behind the valance. Or, you could remove the valance for the holidays.
