Cut Up Cauliflower Without the Mess

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 969 Posts

A bag that contains a head of cauliflower from the grocery store. If you are like me, you process your food when you get it home. There's cleaning, chopping, bagging, etc. Well I find that cauliflower has the most "mess factor" of them all. Every time I cut it up, I end up chasing little pieces all over the cutting board. So today I got smart. Here's what you might want to try.

  • Open the plastic wrap so it's like a sack. Then cut your head into halves and then quarters. Cut the center stems while still in the sack.

  • Take out the florets, and you have a sack of stuff to toss in the trash.

  • Wash and bag the good stuff and you are ready to refrigerate without 90% of the mess.
N-JOY!
