I purchased my pumpkins and squash in early October. After Thanksgiving I converted them to Christmas decorations with a little spray paint and wire rimmed ribbon. Even after sitting on my porch until after the New Year, they were all still intact. We even ate some of the small pumpkins and the squash!

Fall is a great time to decorate with winter squash, pumpkins and gourds. They last a long time and can double as ingredients in your favorite recipes.
I like to place a variety of fall produce in different sizes on a silver tray, and finish off the look with a pumpkin scented candle and some silk autumn leaves. An inexpensive but beautiful centerpiece!
